Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Narvik stay outdoors year-round?
Yes. The all-weather composite exterior is specifically designed for permanent outdoor exposure — rain, snow, UV, and freeze-thaw cycles. Unlike wood-clad saunas, the composite shell requires no staining, sealing, or seasonal protection.
What foundation does it require?
The Narvik must be installed on a level, stable, load-bearing surface. A concrete pad or reinforced decking is recommended. At 915 lbs, the surface must support the full weight of the unit plus occupants and water from steam sessions.
Does it produce steam?
Yes. The included traditional stove is stone-compatible — pour water over heated stones to generate steam on demand. This is the defining characteristic of authentic Finnish-style sauna.
Do I need a licensed electrician?
Yes. The traditional stove requires a dedicated 240V circuit, which must be installed by a licensed electrician. This is not a plug-in appliance. Factor electrical installation into your total project timeline and budget.
How is it delivered, and what does delivery include?
LTL freight, curbside delivery to your driveway or property line. At 915 lbs, you will need equipment or sufficient manpower to move the unit from the delivery point to its installation location. Carrier does not provide placement, unpacking, or assembly.
How long does assembly take?
Structural assembly typically takes a full day for two adults with standard tools. Electrical installation is a separate step requiring a licensed electrician.
What's the warranty?
5-year manufacturer's warranty covering structure and the traditional stove against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
