Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Visby need to be protected from weather or covered seasonally?
No. The all-weather composite exterior is engineered for permanent year-round outdoor installation — sun, rain, snow, and freeze-thaw cycles included. No seasonal covers or weatherproofing treatments are required.
What foundation or base does it need?
The Visby must be placed on a level, load-bearing surface. A concrete pad, reinforced composite decking, or pressure-treated timber platform are all appropriate. The unit weighs 1,105 lbs — ensure your chosen surface can support that load before scheduling delivery.
What electrical circuits are required?
Two dedicated circuits: 120V / 20A for the infrared heating system, and 240V / 30A for the traditional stove. A licensed electrician is required for the 240V stove circuit. The infrared system can be used immediately on the 120V circuit — the stove connection can follow later.
Can the infrared and traditional stove run at the same time?
No. The two systems operate independently and are not designed to run simultaneously. You select one heating mode per session.
How is the Visby delivered, and what does delivery include?
The Visby ships via LTL freight on a pallet. Delivery is curbside — the carrier brings it to the end of your driveway. Placement in your yard, removal of packaging, and assembly are not included. At 1,105 lbs, coordinate a forklift or sufficient manpower before your delivery date.
How long does assembly take?
Two adults with standard tools typically complete structural assembly in a full day. Electrical connections for the stove circuit require a separate licensed electrician visit.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
The manufacturer's warranty covers the structure and all heating components — both the infrared panels and the traditional stove — against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. Damage from improper installation, electrical issues, or outdoor conditions outside normal use are not covered.
